Ringkasan program

This program is for both novice and experienced nurses in public/community health, or those desiring to move from individual patient care to influencing populations. Graduates develop skills in advanced community-based interventions and outcomes measurement, with emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention strategies for a targeted population. Advanced skills include leading and influencing local to national public health agendas through program development, funding, implementation and evaluation; health policy creation; and management of public health entities. Graduates will find employment in state and county health departments, national and regional agencies or as leaders in community-based clinical and advocacy agencies.

Testing Requirement: GRE required (PhD only), TOEFL required (if student's native language is not English), Two copies of transcripts, one copy in English and one in your native language, Three letters of recommendation from qualified individuals, Letter clearly stating applicant's detailed personal objectives and specific career goals, Application to School of Nursings Masters Track, Photocopy of current nursing license. Regular admission to the Master of Science in Nursing program requires completion of a nationally accredited baccalaureate program in nursing, a course in physical assessment, an undergraduate average of B or above, being licensed as a registered nurse in one state, and one year of work experience. Applicants are considered on an individual basis. Students who do not meet the grade-point requirement for regular admission status may be considered for admission through special admission categories. Applicants whose programs were not nationally accredited may request a special review. Letter clearly stating applicant's detailed personal objectives and specific career goals. Official transcript of all college coursework. TOEFL scores (for non-native English speakers).
