Ringkasan program
The MSN program is designed to prepare students for a nursing career outside a big city environment. Students will learn methods used by rural family nurses in the classroom and in clinical. This is an excellent opportunity to research or become published in the rapidly growing rural family nursing field.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must possess a bachelor's degree with an upper division nursing major from a program accredited by the National League for Nursing or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The bachelor's or post bachelor's coursework must include satisfactory completion of an undergraduate course in descriptive statistics. They must also possess a minimum of one year of post baccalaureate nursing experience. Students for whom an exception is made will be advised to take core courses the first year of study and to work to meet the experience requirement. Undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is also required. They must also be licensed as a registered nurse in good standing, in Missouri or eligible for licensure prior to clinical coursework, and must have completed a health assessment course or the equivalent if the students choosing the Nurse Practitioner emphasis area. International students, whose primary language is not English, must demonstrate their English proficiency with a minimum score of 600 paper-based or 100 internet based TOEFL, and a passing score on the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) examination.
