Ringkasan program
The program is designed to support the needs of the students, teachers, schools, and special education administrators in Kansas. All candidates shall apply for the Master of Science degree progam in Adaptive Special Education. The Master's degree will be awarded to candidates who successfully complete the approved 24 hours of Adaptive Special Education licensure course work and 12 additional hours of electives selected from approved graduate courses. Candidates may apply to the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) for licensure upon completion of 24 hours of approved Adaptive Special Education licensure course work and demonstration of competency in meeting Kansas teaching standards for Adaptive Special Education. The Adaptive Special Education curriculum meets the licensure standards for two levels: Early Childhood through Late Childhood (Grades K to 6) and Early Adolescence through Late Adolescence (Grades 6 to 12).

Graduate Admission Requirements for Academic Programs is a decision regarding student admission will be made as soon as their application file is complete and will be based on the following. Cumulative Grade Point Average 2.5 to 3.0 or better (depending on division and major) for graduates. English proficiency (TOEFL score, etc.), Minimum TOEFL score required for graduates is 550, Computer-based TOEFL equivalent score is 213, Graduate students with a TOEFL score below 575 are required to take a course in English Communication skills. If student do not meet these scores or have never taken TOEFL, student will be required to take the ESU English Placement Exam to verify their English proficiency Achievement on Examinations and Tests: Graduate international student applicants will be informed by their department/division of any required achievement tests, i.e. GMAT for MBA, GRE for MLS, etc. Minimum TOEFL Scores for Intensive English Program for graduates is 450. Computer-based TOEFL equivalent score is 133.
