The Graduate School of Nursing offers master's, post-master's and doctoral degrees, providing high quality education to prepare registered professional and advanced practice nurses within nurse practitioner and nurse educator specialties. The GSN prepares professional and advanced practice nurses, educators, scientists and leaders to improve quality of life and health outcomes. Through partnerships with multicultural communities and academic and clinical organizations, research, practice and education are integrated to advance nursing knowledge, science and competencies leading to exemplary health care. GSN faculty and staff are dedicated to identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to promote national distinction and innovation in professional and advanced nursing education, research and clinical service.

There are no on campus housing facilities for medical students. However, most students find convenient housing in the local community. Information about possible housing accommodations/roommates is posted on the housing board outside of the student lounge. The Office of Student Affairs provides a service for students accepted into the MD program at UMMS. This service attempts to assist students in finding a roommate(s). There is absolutely no obligation to participate. In late April our office will send incoming medical students a link to the roommate / housing questionnaire form. All completed 'Roommate Questionnaire Forms' will be available to UMMS students (both incoming and enrolled) who are looking for roommates. For Incoming Medical Student copies of all received 'Roommate Questionnaires' will be available at the Summer Orientation on Saturday, June 3rd or in the Office of Student Affairs. Although we attempt to provide some resources and information on housing, students are expected to arrange their own housing. Several different public bus routes stop at UMass Medical School. Those who park their private vehicles on campus are required to pay a student parking fee - for the 07/08 AY student parking is $80.00 per year.
