The Master of Business Administration - Master of Arts in Latin American Studies (MBA-LAS) is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of a specific world area. Graduates who possess a working knowledge of a second language and familiarity with the corresponding cultures, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the business, economic, and political climate of are poised to move into positions of leadership in the Latin American business arenas. Students completing the dual degree program will earn a KU MBA and a Master of Arts from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

The TOEFL is required of applicants whose native language is not English. The TOEFL is a comprehensive test of English language skills. Three essays, One sealed, official transcripts from each college or university attended, Two completed recommendation forms from faculty members and employers, Resume and a signed KU Academic Code of Honor form. GMAT is required. Latin American Studies requires a BA, preferably in one of the social sciences or humanities, language proficiency in either Spanish or Portuguese as demonstrated by completion of a fourth-semester course or the equivalent, and acceptance by the graduate division of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences of the University of Kansas. Applicants whose grade point average is below 3.0 will not be admitted to the degree program. However, a student with less than a 3.0 GPA may be admitted on a probation or provisional status at the discretion of the departmental Graduate Committee. MA candidates must demonstrate comprehensive proficiency in either Spanish or Portuguese. International students are not required to take the GRE but are required to take the TOEFL exam.
