Ringkasan program
The Ph.D. program offered by the Division of Educational Studies is designed to extend knowledge and develop skills for independent scholarly work and research in education. Progress toward attainment of those goals is demonstrated through course work, by the caliber of the work completed in the Empirical Study, and, ultimately, by the production of a dissertation. In conjunction with the Department of French and Italian, the Division also offers a joint Ph.D. program in French and Educational Studies.

Admissions Requirements are the applicant should have Transcripts, All applicants are required to submit one official copy of transcripts from each post-secondary institution attended, present school included. Standardized Test Scores, The Educational Testing Service (ETS) sends the Graduate School official Graduate Record Examination (GRE)scores of all applicants who request that Emory (institution code 5187) receive test results. The following three scores are reported verbal score reported on a 200-800 score scale, quantitative score reported on 200-800 score scale, and analytical writing score reported on a 0-6 scale with half point increments. Statement of Purpose, Applicants are required to provide a Statement of Purpose to be considered for admission to the Graduate School. Letters of Recommendation, All applicants must submit three letters of recommendation from faculty members most familiar with their academic performance. Teachers applying to the Division of Educational Studies may be recommended by a school principal. Evidence of Language Proficiency, All international applicants whose native language is other than English must show evidence of command of the English language as specified by the particular department, generally by means of satisfactory scores on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or evaluation of a writing sample.
