This program includes interdisciplinary studies in molecular and cellular biology through coursework and laboratory rotations. It also provides an excellent foundation for post-doctoral studies in academia and biotechnology. Basic and clinical research programs include the study of complex molecular machines, such as RNA polymerases and Ribosomes; chromatin remodeling and other mechanisms regulating gene expression patterns; signal transduction pathways regulating life, death, and developmental decisions from yeast to neurons; the development and regulation of organ systems such as the hematopoietic system, the heart, liver, muscle and brain. Moreover, many research groups focus on human disease: the biology of microorganisms, such as bacterial pathogens and viruses; the immune response; the molecular basis for human genetic disorders, alcoholism, and cancer.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should have master degree from a CHEA regionally accredited college or university; and a minimum undergraduate cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Medical College Application Test (MCAT) scores received within three years of application are required for admission. In addition to this, students whose native language is not an English they must have a minimum TOFEL score of 564 on paper based exam, 223 on computer based exam, 79 – 95 on internet based exam.
