The PhD track in accounting examines the production and use of information through the lens of theories adapted from the social sciences, especially economics and psychology. In this rigorous and demanding program, each student is expected to be proactive in developing critical thinking skills. Our program emphasizes coursework in microeconomics, econometrics, statistics, and doctoral seminars in accounting. Students may also choose additional courses in these areas, as well as doctoral seminars in finance.
