I really enjoy my time at University of Wollongong. The campus is very beautiful and the scenery is very nice and lovely. The most important piece of advice I can give to you is that as Law is a very hard discipline, you need to develop your learning skills so that you wont fail any subject.

It was not easy to get in Law, you need to have a good IELTS score (I think 6.5 to 7, depending on the year). You need to have a very good academic record, and the selection process you go through will take more time than for local students. You need to prepare all the necessary documents so that your application will not be delayed.

I did not have any funding or scholarships, but I believe that there is some sort of fundings that the University reserves for international students. However, I would think it must be very expensive. Well, financial securty is an important factor that needs to be taken care of. You have to prepare and take into account that you have all the money that you think is appropriate.

Law is very hard, and as an international student, I have to go through a lot of difficulties. English is not my native language, and thus I have to study more hours than local students. I spent about 40 hours a week to study. The lecturers and tutors were helpful as they knew that I was an overseas student. I receieved all the support that I needed.

Wollongong is very big University, and I enjoy the local atmosphere where the people are very friendly and easy to get along. The fellow students are mostly local students, whom I have developed some sort of friendship that lasts for life. It was not very easy to get part time work, as Wollongong is a very small town. I did not join any clubs or societies.

I am working as a solicitor in a law firm in Brisbane. I think it is thanks to my studies at Wollongong Uni. I still keep in touch with my fellow friends, but I did not join the alumni clubs.
