Overall I have found my experience at Southern Cross to be a pleasent and rewarding one. There is a high level of support from both lecturers and other students and a real sense of community that can only come from such a contemporary organisation. While much of my degree is undertaken on an external basis it has never proved to be a hinderance to the learning process the embacing of new technology has allowed me to feel as much a part of the student body as any student studying on campus.

I found the selection process at Southern Cross to be an easy and quick process. As a mature age student I was not required to provide any previous marks from high school or take any entrance tests for admission.

There are many external and internal scholarship options available to Southern Cross students and the online notice boards of the business school regularly lists any new opportunities and notifies student of these to allow them to take advantage of any they may be eligible for.

The Bachelor of business in Accounting in a great course offering a complete over view of the field. It is recognised by the professional accounting bodies and allows a fast track to be eligible to gain qualifications with them. The lecturers and tutors have always proved approachable and never fail to answer any queries promptly. I would recommend this course to any one interested in a career in accounting. It offers many flexible option for those already in the industry to further their qualification while also offering the course through a number of different campuses and via online participation.

The only campus belonging to Southern cross with which I have any familiarity is the Lismore Campus. Lismore is situated on the north coast of NSW and allows students access to the wonderful surrounding this area has to offer. It is close to the beach and to many other beautiful natural areas. Lismore is a thriving and growing rural town which offers the opportunity for both a great night life and employment options the accomodation is reasonably priced off campus and the university also has a number of on campus living facilities.

Southern Cross university is well known for providing quality graduates and as such I believe that my career options on graduation are greatly advanced by my choice to study through this institution.
