I Loved being at Uni and UC was a great campus to experience Uni life. I enjoyed my degree and found it the right combination of challenging and fun. My course and unit convenors helped me when i needed it and because i loved what i was doing it barely felt like work and i did well. Its not like High school where you have to do things you hate i didn't like all my units but i loved most of them and that made it better. I got involved with some of the societies around campus and they gave me a better experience i made heaps of friends and had a ball. I also travelled to Uni Games for touch and had the best week both years. Uni is great when you get involved and have fun everyone at UC is helpful and friendly and it just made it easier to have a great time and do well.
I applied through UAC straight out of school and was given an easy admission with my grades. I know our university gives admission to everyone you just might need to do a prep course before starting. They try to make it easy for students to gain a good education.
I never had a scholarship but i know the commonwealth scholarships are easy to apply for through UAC.
I study communications an PR and i loved my course because i was really interested in the career and sunjects associated with it. My tutors and lecturers were insightful and inspiring and helped me when i needed it. We studyed a lot of media and communications it wasn't always easy but it was always interesting. The skills i gained from my degree have made it really easy to understand the industry and given me confidence in my abilities. We were required to do a substainial internship which means that i am graduating with not only a degree but experience which is invaluable in my profession.
I was heavily invoved in the PR society and Uni Games and being apart of that made my Uni degree more fun. UC has lots of societies and sports available for students so if you aren't scared to get involved there is lots of fun to be had
UC has a great employment rate due to the highly practical nature of the degree's offered here. i had to complete an internship with my degree and that has put me ahead of the game with my resume.
