I have lived in Plymouth all my life. I received the Plymouth's Holmes and Carrie award in 2005 for having the highest GCSE results in Plymouth and then went on to get four A's at A Level in History, Sociology, Media Studies and Film Studies. I have always wanted to do Law and I chose the particular course at Plymouth because it seemed the most rounded of all the degrees I investigated.
I like the study environment and spent a lot of time in the law section of the library during my revision period. I liked having a particular section in the library because it meant that there were other people to discuss any problems with. Before I came to Plymouth I was slightly worried that I wouldn't enjoy Law as I hadn't studied it before, however I have found it really interesting and affirmed my desire to practice Law. I have really enjoyed studying Law at Plymouth; one of the best aspects has been the Lawyers Skills module which offers a practical element to the course that many other Law degrees do not offer on the same level. I would certainly recommend this element to anyone contemplating coming here
