Education in the US is the best in the world. The PhD program which is offered at US Universities has a practical and flexible approach. The amount of research that is going on there is plentiful. I am working for my Ph. D. in Computer Science at Georgia Tech and I feel it is definitely value for money.

My thesis is titled Network Security and Network Monitoring Applications and I am working with my thesis advisor, Prof. Nick Feamster. I am happy with the way my work is progressing. My research interests are in the field of Network Security, Network Monitoring and Measurement, Mitigation of Unwanted Traffic on the Internet (Spam, Phishing, etc.), Distributed Systems and Operating Systems.

I had the opportunity to work as a Research Assistant at the College of Computing, in the university with Prof. Nick Feamster. My projects were Enterprise Traffic Classification and Network-level Spam Filtering. Further, I worked on internship programs at the Internet and Network Systems Research Group Intern and at AT&T Research, and Networks Group Intern at International Computer Science Institute, Berkeley. I gained a lot out of these programs.
