The program is good.

No exams other than the usual GRE/TOEFL. Assistantships are a bit difficult to get in EE. Visa Interview was just a formality. We flew Air India till Singapore and then Singapore Airlines till SFO. Service was good. No student fare. SFO is 40 minute drive from Stanford. No immigration issues at the airport. They just asked if we had any food. We replied "Some Spices".

We stay in university accomodation (1BHK apartments). Most facilities are quite good (and free for students). International students cant work for more than 20 hours a week because of visa status. Weather is quite good compared to other parts of USA. There is an Indian Association at Stanford and they infact arranged for a person to pick us up from the airport when we arrived.

Jobs are usually not a problem in EE. And its a pretty routine process. So, there shouldn't be any glitches there.
