My name is Vinit Bhamburdekar and I am an undergraduate at Purdue University. I am enjoying my university pretty much. Being an international student gives me an exposure to a world beyond my country. Purdue University is one of the highest ranked in the US and the world as well. I don't think there is any need of improvement in the facilities provided by the university. It has state of the art facilities and provides a very encouraging environment. The piece of advice I would like to give future students would be to achieve high scores in the SAT. Also, even if the university doesn't demand SAT II scores, the student should still appear for them.
Gaining admission at Purdue was not all that stringent. I had a good SAT score and had done well in my TOEFL as well. I was a topper in my school examinations and scored a 90 percent in my final exams. The travel experience was quite good. I had no hassles whatsoever.
Since I was a topper and had a good SAT score, I received a Valedictorian Scholarship from Purdue. The university provides financial aid to students. For more details, the Purdue website will be quite helpful.
I am undertaking Computer Engineering as my major. The course is quite good and Purdue is ranked quite high in US for the aforementioned major. My course is definitely value for money as I am provided with the best facilities possible. The teachers are excellent and support me in every difficulty I face.
The Purdue campus is lush green with excellent facilities. The entire campus is wireless so there is ease of internet access. Part time work is quite easy to get at a good monthly income. Accommodation is very good and costs around $10000. There are also a lot of clubs and societies for international students.
Yes, I do believe that job prospects have increased as a result of my studies. I am already in touch with the alumni of Purdue. Currently, there is no alumni association I can join since I am still a student.
