Australian Catholic University has six campuses across Australia so potential students not only can choose what their courses want to be, but also where they want to study. Each campus has its own unique environment, in either a city or suburban location.
I am a degree holder and I applied directly to Australian Catholic University when I decided to do a master course. International students are required to get an IELTS score of 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in each test/section).
I did not apply for any of them but there are scholarships available.
The Master of Nursing course provides me with focus on professional development as well as offering me the opportunity to major in surgical nursing. It is guaranty that graduates will be able to practise at beginning levels of performance in the four domains of nursing identified in the Australian Nursing Council Inc. (ANCI) competencies: professional and ethical practice; critical thinking and analysis; management of care; and enabling.
It is a short 15 minutes drive from Brisbane city to Australian Catholic University and students can enjoy free parking on campus. The facilities allow students to socialise, use the recreation amenities and study in a peaceful campus setting. It is a relaxed environment with a small campus feel.
The course has prepared me for entry into the nursing profession. I am also eligible to register as professional nurses with the state Nurses Registration Board.
