I am enjoying my classes every day. Coming to study, making new friends in a new country, learning new things which will help me make my career. Melbourne has a lot of opportunities for the hard working and skilled people, the college is also very multicultural, you will enjoy your time here.

I did not have any idea regarding applying for visa, enrolling etc. I was referred to an agency by my friend, who had earlier used their services. The admission process was ok, it took about 4 months for the visa and me to come here.

I did not know of scholarships before and I don’t think international students can get it. I only think if we have some difficulties then the Australian government will sponsor us, but I am not so sure. I am being sponsored by my family and parents for accommodation and studies.

I am studying English here, we are taught using slides, video, audio clips and also encouraged to participate. The teachers are very kind and nice people. The classmates are from different countries. I study everyday, because my timetable is for 5 days in a week.

Since most of the students in our college are international students, there are lot of facilities and good care for international students. There is a café, pool, library, counseling etc. If we have problems we can approach them also. I live in a homestay and I enjoyed it also because it is easy and convenient. The rent is bit expensive, I am still looking for cheaper one with good facilities. I am living alone in homestay with a family. I was thinking of joining clubs but I didn’t like going to college when I was free, I wanted to relax. I think getting work here is hard because most of the students are still looking for jobs and not finding any.

I will probably go to study my masters degree at uni. This English course will help me get basic idea of uni and prepare me for it. I am looking forward to uni studies.
