I'd suggest cincinnati is a great place to pursue your education. Come here for sure! This would be my advice!

I took up the GRE and TOEFL exams to gain admission at the University of Cincinnati. I prepared by myself for 3 months and I didnt attend any coaching classes. I needed a VISA to come the USA. My Visa interview was around 20 seconds and I was granted VISA. Since I had an 80% scholarship I was just questioned as to who will support me for my education. Tickets to Cincinnati were a bit difficult as there were not many direct flights flying. I took the American Airlines carrier as it was the cheapest among the others. They did not offer a student fare. I landed at the Cincinnati Airport. The airport is a 30 minute drive from the university. We had 23kg *2 check in baggage and 18kg cabin baggage. Excess baggage of 2 kgs were permitted. I had absolutely no problem in Immigration. We had students from the Indian students association who had received us from the airport and provided us with accommodation.

I am happy with the way the program has been structured. Professors are really good. Lecture halls are also good. Libraries have almost all the books & even if there are books which aren't available we can get them from other universities in the state.

Three of us have moved into a 2BHK apartment outside the campus as graduate students dont have on campus housing. I don't think there's anything negative about them to be stated. We have a huge Recreation centre which is well equipped with all the gymming stuff and a lot of playgrounds for soccer, volley ball basket ball etc etc…we do have a partial scholarship for international students. Many people have already secured a job for themselves. We have an online website to get apply for various student worker positions. We were advised not to walk alone during the night after 8. Other than that I haven’t faced any problem in this place. People are really courteous and friendly. We have shuttles which take us to places in and around the university. So night life is also secure. We do have a couple of associations like Indian students and a few other associations. I’m not too sure about the others but Indian association organize events for almost all the indian festivals like diwali etc etc.

I am not too sure about placements and job opportunities. I know that there is a placement cell but I really don't have a clue regarding job offers and if international students get a job. As long as I know, I've seen a couple of career fairs being conducted here at our university.
