My curiosity to learn about English culture, a stark contrast with Chinese culture, encouraged me to study in the UK. Roehamptons relaxing lifestyle and scenery was also a big draw. . I feel so appreciative of the bursary from the School of Education that I will commit myself to learning at Roehampton.
The most importance reason for me to study at Roehampton was the academic of Froebel College, especially the early childhood Research centre, an ideal place for students with interests in early childhood education to study with support from staff. It as at the Early Childhood research Centre, with a strong encouragement of research oriented studies, that I finished my MA programme in one year and have begun studying towards a PhD. I have benefited through involvement in the academic community, in the UK and worldwide, through the network of the Early Childhood Research centre.
