My Company is based in Marlborough, Wiltshire. I have danced my whole life, but instead of pursuing a career as a dancer I decided to focus on the academic side. At the time I was undecided on what to study at University and chose the BA Business Administration as it encompassed such a variety of subjects, which kept my options open for the future. I chose Plymouth as I loved the city and extended families were nearby in Devon. Going to University gives a unique sense of independence which paves the path for the rest of your life and career. Plymouth Business School is within a safe and enjoyable city with ample opportunity to experience and learn as much as you choose to.
The course and the experience of going to University changed my life entirely. As well as business knowledge, the experience of going to University is second to none with regards independence, taking advantage of opportunities, relationships and working ethics. I think studying independently and living away from home for the first time possibly aren't the best combination for productivity. I think studying is much more effective once one has experienced life in a full time work place environment, as practical situations are much more informative than theory.
After graduating from PBS I worked as a buyer for a national retailer and then in finance for a National Dance Agency. Going back to my passion, dance, I started teaching couples within Wiltshire to dance for their first dance at their wedding, my work became very successful and I decided to take it to the next level by starting my own company. Wedding Day Dance UK provide private first dance lessons throughout the UK for couples who wish to learn a first dance for their wedding to their special song. Our lessons are professional yet affordable and even if a couple has never danced before we ensure they dance with style and confidence!
