i enjoyed my studies. it was a two year course. the first year was practical with work placement. it was great. my advice – because it is so multicultural you really can meet a lot of people from different backgrounds.
it really was a very easy selection process. there really were no set tasks that had to be completed. pretty much i just enrolled and then i came in for induction. it's really easy and virtually anyone can do it.
No scholarships available that i know of.
it is a really good course. the part i enjoyed the most were the practical components of the course such as making deserts, as this gave us valuable experience. studied 18-20 hours pw. great teachers who were varied in experience. average value.
there are now two kitchens. there used to only be one kitchen and that was a bit limited but it expanded. they have a good computer room. the location is central because it is in the middle of the city. it is easy to find work because we are linked to hotels.
yes prospects have increased because we learn based on experience in real commercial kitchens, which is a really great stepping stone to working in the real world. currently i am working which is related to my studies.
