Being a part of Macquarie Uni is a truly international experience. It really reflect the multiculturalism of Australia and I like that. Here, you will go to tutorials with a class of student from diffrent background. The opinions are diverse. I also get to know a lot more about their culture, which is fantastic. My top advice will be to not afraid to start a conversation. Be the first to say hi to your neighbour in a lecture class. He/she might just be as shy as you. You have nothing to lose but you will have one more friends

My course has a heavy workload. I study on my own 5 days a week. The biggest challenge for me is to read the textbook. It's thick and it is in English. I guess it has taken most of my time. The good side, I find myself become a lot better in reading, which somehow affects my writing. My course also have a lot of tests, which is good because in uni, there is less pressure to study. This way i am force to study so I don't get panic when final exam come. Uni life is quite relaxed, and a lot of social activities so it s easy to forget to do serious study. There are always helps available if you need one. Especially for international students. For example there are conversation groups at lunch time that will boost your confidence speaking in English. It will help with your presentation assignment!

I like Sydney very much. I think its a wonderful city. The weather is not hot and not cold. It's not like Melbourne four seasons in a day. Australia is so scenic, I went to some places around Sydney like Blue mountains, Huntervalley, Wollongong, South coast -they are all so pretty. It's very different from an Asian country. There is far less pollution here, and more nature. You should definitely travel around Australia if you do come here. Local people are friendly. They will call you 'dear' or ' darling' even if they are strangers. They like to greet you 'Hey, how are you going today?' They are nice to talk to. Once I got lost and was asking for direction. The local person went all the way down the road to walk me to the place. I felt very thankful.

I believe my employment chance increase after I graduate. Macquarie offers the best accounting course in Sydney. Accountant is a job that is highly in demand. Especially in Australia, it is one of the skill migration choice. With accounting major, I can work everywhere. I admit it is hard to get a job nowadays but Macquarie is very good university so I don't think it will be a huge problem.
