My program has been well structured. We have good lecture halls and full sports facilities. I would suggest the students carefully consider their area of interest and consult the professors before making their decision.

The visa interview was easy. I had to take GRE and TOEFL for admissions. I prepared for the tests with various sample question bank books and sample tests and did not attend any coaching class. It was easy to get the tickets once I had zeroed down the travel agent. I flew Luftansa the first time I travelled to US. The travel was comfortable. There was no student discount offered by the airlines. I landed in the Louisville, KY (SDF) airport which is about 3 miles from the institution. Baggage rules: 1 carry on + 2 large suitcases. Excess baggage was not allowed. There were no problems with immigration. The university did offer meet and greet program.

They have both departmental scholarships as well those that the professors provide to students from their grants.

Iam happy with the way my program has been structured. My professors are really good. I would suggest the students carefully consider their area of interest and consult the professors before making their decision.

Iam living in a rented out an apartment with some fellow students. The lecture halls are good though the library is pretty expensive. We have a lot of sports facilities. It is very easy for international students to get hold of part time jobs in my university. They have a lot of activities organized by and for the student community. There is no night life in the campus. Typical cold winters and hot summers. There is an Indian student society in my university. They organize Indian cultural nite and diwali every year.

There is a placement cell in my university but it is not easy for international students to get jobs. Very few global organizations attend these placement events. Getting a work permit depends on the hiring company. There is an alumni society in my university but I am not active member so I do not know how it works.
