It has been 2 yrs since I landed here in USA. I really like this place. As a person It changed me a lot , I learnt many new things. It gave me exposure to many new cultures and languages.

Teaching is good here. Coming to course work. I learnt some new subjects but most of them are repeated from my Bachelors. But one thing I observed and experienced , although you are learning same subjects , here you implement them , research them , learn how each concepts works, apply them to the situation accordingly. That¿s good part of it. In one word I would say PRACTICALITY is good about this education system.
Coming to the place where I used to live , It¿s a small college town with all necessary stuff you need like shopping malls, cinema halls , etc . You can get accommodation for cheap as Indian guys are used to sharing. My experience with NIU was really good. As Every public university in US has some standards with Infrastructure and NIU really kept up to those standards.Many international students do get graduate , teaching and research assistantships. Again it all depends on the university.
