After leaving School I worked as a chef for 5 years and then decided to do an undergraduate degree in hospitality at SSTH in Switzerland. What I really wanted was to open my own restaurant chain, so I decided to go back to the university to learn more about becoming an entrepreneur. I was keen to study in an English speaking country and chose Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh as it has a partnership with SSTH and I already knew a little bit about the university.
The MBA is put together well and it is great to work with other students to hear their points of view. For some of the course you are required to undertake independent learning, so the more eager you are the more you learn. The lecturers have been very helpful and supportive and actively seek feedback from students to improve courses and also the teaching.
After I graduate I will be working with a top company as brand manager to hopefully increase my knowledge of brand management. I also plan to work with a partner on a restaurant venture in the States.
