The three years I spent at Heriot-Watt have been very memorable. These years have been mixed with laughter, friendship, learning, hard-work and happiness. The course is full of students from different backgrounds and cultures. Aside from the students from your course, you can make friends through various social events. I was lucky to find a job within the University and the people there were great. Friendly and caring is how Id best describe the colleagues I worked with. Edinburgh is a multi-cultural city; people here are very down to earth and helpful. Its not a huge place either, and finding your way around Edinburgh is not so hard.
Throughout my course I managed to obtain exemptions to all 8 CT exams in the Actuarial professional exams. It was only after I started my first job as a Financial Reporting Analyst that I discovered just how much the Actuarial course actually fits into my job and the exams I'm sitting.
