I had already done a Masters at the Uni of Sydney, but it was a coursework program and it didn't have any research component there, so I planned to do my Masters at Texas so that I could focus more on research this time around. The research being done in this university matched to those of my research interests. I was specifically interested to study and do research in the areas of apoptosis and mitochondrial biogenesis. I am very glad that I selected Texas…It had lived upto its reputation.

My visa interview was just a casual chat. He didn't even bother to look at my financial documents. He just saw my Uni of Sydney convocation certificate................thats it. So don't be nervous at all cos they are giving good amount of visas and u will get it for sure. Just make sure u listen carefully and answer relevantly and precisely and don't speak things from which he might ask u more questions. Hope this helps!
