I was thinking of a career in computers at the time and had spoken to some of my seniors who opined that UT Dallas was the best ...But after I enrolled I realized that it had an excellent reputation in other fields of study as well. I had applied to 7 universities and got admits from 4 of them but UTD was what I always wanted.

At the time of applying for my visa my GRE score was 2170 and TOEFL was 273. I had about 1 year and 7 mths of work experience from Wipro. Also, the fact that Wipro was granting me a sabbatical leave for two years to complete my MS really impressed the VO. Keep all the necessary documents ready and see that you are clear about the financial aspects especially if you are going to be self funded. There were no probs regd my visa interview. The whole interview was over in less than 2mins.

My family- my dad and my bro in particular funded my entire program.

UT Dallas professors are experts in areas such as space science, nanotechnology, audiology, digital forensics and cognitive science. Dallas offers a wide variety of opportunities to grow intellectually and personally. I was really lucky to be amongst the best.

The Activity Center houses a workout gym, racquetball courts, squash courts, and a swimming pool. It is open seven days a week and offers excellent relaxation.

Many of the on-campus facilities or organizations offer employment opportunities. Plenty of good jobs for the taking.
