I completed my Masters program at the Case Western Reserve University. I think that I got an admit because I had applied without aid. I might have been difficult for me to get in without aid. The other universities to which I got admits were UIC, UHouston, and the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. MY GRE score was 1940 (490+690+760), TOEFL score was 613, TSE was 5/6. My acads at the time of aping were 80%. My advice to Indian students intending to study abroad – Definitely take the TSE and get above 50 in it. This definitely gives you an edge over others. If possible take the AGRE if your univ requires it , be very well prepared. Please send the free scores of GRE properly otherwise you will be wasting money. Try and get a RECo from a different prof other than the usual people. Try and get it from IISC or an IIT prof. Here is wishing all of you the very best of luck.
