I selected the Northern Illinois University as it is among the nation’s premier regional public universities. I had applied to 4 universities and got admits from 2 of them...NIU and UNCC. As I had done a project on systems programming and assembly language programming in my UG, I developed an interest in this field and wanted to take it up in my Masters. The course at NIU was superb.

Getting a visa was a breeze...no issues. I had pretty decent scores in GRE and TOEFL also a score of 74% with distinction in my UG. Maybe all this worked in my favour.

The research facilities are very good.

We had very good facilities on campus. The library has over 2 million books...excellent reference materials.
