The Masters program at the university of Illinois was great. Though I had admits from South Dakota State Univ, Eastern michigan univ and Fairleigh dickinson univ, with a 50% tution waiver I opted for Illinois as it was one of my best admits. I had a pretty good feedback from my seniors about the course and the university and that made me decide on Illinois.
My gre score was 950, verbal : 260, quant : 690, awa : 4.0, my toefl score was : 260 at the time of applying for the visa. My acads were :61.58%. The VO asked me why I'd scored a bit low in the GRE, but my math score which was 690 satisfied him and I faced no more hassles in getting the visa. VO did not ask me for my acads-certificates and financial-documents.
I was self funded. My father paid for my education.
The faculty had a tremendous influence on my learning and development. They were experts in their field and really motivated us to learn. I enjoyed my program at the university.
