It is a great University located in the heart of London. It is a place where you can both study and enjoy life at the same time. Lots of student support, facilities, etc.
The selection process is quite straight forward. Application is usually done through UCAS, and you will be notified whether you would be required to attend an interview. In some courses, offers are given without interviews.
Fee is unfortunately quite high, on top of the high living expenses in London. I was not aware of the availability of any scholarship for undergraduate programmes.
The teaching quality is high, and a lot will be required from you as a student. But the key is to work hard, while making sure to enjoy student life at the same time. Most courses run tutorials, in which you could discuss problems in your studies with your tutors.
The university itself has a lot of facilities, ranging from gyms, cafes, canteen, several libraries, etc. It's very convenient in terms of location as well. There are supermarkets, student halls, cinemas, restaurants, lots of bus stops and at least 3 tube stations nearby. There are more that 150 different clubs and societies affiliated to the UCL Union. By joining these club and societies, you could gain great life experiences, and make great friends!
UCL has its own career service, with really helpful and supportive staff members, which could answer your queries regarding careers. They run a lot of company presentations, and careers fairs, which are quite useful when it comes to looking for jobs, or just getting to know what's out there in the real world. They also run workshops for International Students. UCL also has a Rights and Advice centre which could help you in problems regarding visa problems, international student's rights, etc.
