Harford Community College was founded in 1957 as Harford Junior College. The main campus is located near Bel Air, Maryland. Almost 8,000 students take credit courses throughout the year and an additional 15,000 students take noncredit courses. The college awards Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Applied Science, Associate of Arts in Teaching and Certificates. The different programs are housed in different Academic divisions, namely, Behavioral & Social Sciences, Business, Computing and Applied Technology, Continuing Education & Training, Educational and Transitional Studies, etc.
