The Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary was founded in the upcountry town of Pomaria, South Carolina in 1830. It is now located in Colombia, South Carolina having a current enrollment of around 160. It offers the following academic degrees: Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Religion, Master of Sacred Theology and Doctor of Ministry. Apart from providing traditional theological education, Southern Seminary is also home to a number of specialized programs and centers.
