Spelman College was founded in 1881. The College is a private , liberal arts, historically Black College for Women . The campus is located in Atlanta, Georgia. The student body consists of more than 2,100 students from 41 states and 15 foreign countries with the student to staff ratio being 11:1. The College awards two degrees: Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science enabling the students to choose their specialization of study.
