The Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician program will introduce you to the field of heating, refrigeration and air conditioning with an emphasis on renewable, sustainable and alternative energy efficient solutions. Protecting the environment, reducing climate changes and increasing sustainable practices have contributed to the need for energy-efficient practices in the heating, refrigeration and air conditioning industry. As an accredited training institution registered with the Technical Standard Safety Authority (TSSA), this program offers applicable skills whether you are planning to enter the field, or you are currently working in the heating, refrigeration and air conditioning field and wish to update your skills. Graduates of the program may obtain employment as heating, refrigeration and air conditioning technicians as well as through affiliated trade apprenticeships in plumbing, pipefitting, electrical, sheet metal, and refrigeration.

OSSD including Gr 11 C English and Gr 11 C Math

Academic requirements:

High school diploma

English language proficiency requirements:

Internet-based (iBT) TOEFL: 80 with no score less than 20
International English Language Testing System (IELTS - Academic): 6.0 with no band less than 5.5 (Students applying through SDS stream to meet 6.0, with no bands less than 6.0)
PTE Academic (Pearson Test English): 58+
Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB): 76
