Objectives

This area of Concentration Studies provides diversified knowledge and practical trainings on advertising, public relations and mass media. Specifically, it aims to equip students with creativity and critical ability that facilitate their further study or pursue a career in the media industry. Distinctive features include:

• Offering diversified trainings on strategic planning, visual communication, broadcast communication as well as performing arts, which gives students the chance to enhance their critical, creative and organising abilities;
• Providing experiential learning experiences for students to explore the industry. For instance, organising the annual AD HERE Advertising Competition in collaboration with well-known companies to give students the chance to work for real clients;
• Holding industrial talks/seminars to facilitate students’ understanding on the latest media development and providing internship opportunities.

Graduates will be able to work in the field of advertising and public relations, marketing, event management, media, entertainment and publishing.
