GPA of 3.00 or higher in a four-year degree programme in a relevant discipline at a recognised third-level institution. Third-level institutions rated between 1-3 on the Peterson’s Guide to U.S institution entrance difficulty are typically considered. However, applications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Particular programmes may require an interview and/or work experience. IELTS: Minimum score of 6.5 (Please note some programmes have a higher IELTS requirement.) with no less than 6.0 in any component. TOEFL: 580 (paper based) or 90 (internet based). University of Cambridge ESOL: Certificate of Proficiency in English - Grade C / Certificate in Advanced English - Grade B. Pearson Test Of English (ACADEMIC) - PTE ACADEMIC: a minimum score of 61 (with no section score below 59); ETAPP: English Test For Academic And Professional Purposes: Grade C1.

Normally, a primary degree in a relevant discipline with First or Second Class Honours or an approved equivalent qualification (Primary Degree: Level 8 - National Qualifications Authority of Ireland).

Applicants whose first language is not English must provide evidence of either prior successful completion of a degree qualification taught through the medium of English or meet one of the criteria below (no longer than two years prior to application):

Acceptable English Language qualifications include the following:

• Matriculation examinations from European countries where English is presented as a subject and an acceptable level is achieved
• Irish Leaving Certificate English –Ordinary Level Grade D or above
