Marketing is about buying and selling products or services for profitability. Good marketing will bring huge success to a company while bad marketing will bring failure. Marketing activities includes market research, product design and development, packaging, setting strategy, pricing, advertising, communicating, promoting, delivery channel, endorsement and etc.

The Bachelor of Marketing (Hons) is developed with the aim to deliver to students and all-rounded knowledge and skills associated with marketing. Graduates who are well-versed in marketing are highly employable.

Graduates of the Bachelor of Marketing (Hons) are eligible for certain exemptions from the professional examinations of ICSA. Membership with ICSA is an option for graduates to become a professional in the field of corporate governance.

Entry with Standard Qualifications: UTAR welcomes applicants with any of the following qualifications for entry to Bachelor's Honours Degree Programme: Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM); Unified Examination Certificate (UEC); A-Levels; South Australian Matriculation (SAM); Canadian Pre-University (CPU). Entry with Other Qualifications: Applicants with qualifications other than those described above, for example, a Diploma from a college/institution/polytechnic may also apply for admission to UTAR programmes. English Language Requirements: International English Language Testing System ( IELTS )-5.0; Paper-based TOEFL - 410; Internet-based Testing (iBT) - new TOEFL - 34; SPM English Language / O-level English Language- Credit; MUET - Band 3; UEC English Language - Grade B; Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)- B1.
