About Faculty
UPM’s Faculty of Engineering, from its humble beginnings in 1975 was known as Faculty of Agricultural Engineering with only four departments and now has grown into one of the best engineering schools in Malaysia. To date, the Faculty has eight exciting departments offering eight Bachelor programs and 34 postgraduate programs, with combined enrollment of over 3000 for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Currently Faculty of Engineering has expertise from various engineering field in 8 departments ; Department of Aerospace Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Department of Computer and Communication Systems Engineering, Department of Process and Food Engineering.
This field of study deals with the analysis, design and management of water resources systems. Related research topics include vegetated waterways, methods of river banks stabilization, storm water runoff management, as well as hydraulic and hydrologic modeling.

Bachelor Degree in Engineering with CGPA 3.75; or
Master Degree in Engineering (with thesis); or
Master Degree in Engineering (with thesis and coursework) with CGPA 3.00; or
Master Degree in Engineering without thesis (coursework) with CGPA 3.25; or
Master Degree in Engineering without thesis (coursework) with CGPA 3.00 and at least three (3) years working experience in relevant field ; or
Master Degree in Sciences (with thesis and coursework) with CGPA 3.50; or
Master Degree in Sciences without thesis (coursework) with CGPA 3.50; or
Master Degree in Sciences without thesis (coursework) with CGPA 3.25 and at least three (3) years working experience in relevant field; or
Master Degree in Sciences without thesis (coursework) with CGPA 3.00 and at least five (5) years working experience in relevant field.
For applicants with one of the following
550 for the TOEFL Paper-based Test (Academic Version); or
Band 6.0 for IELTS (Academic Training); or
79-80 for TOEFL Internet-based Test (Academic Version); or
Level 109 for CIEP at ELS Language Centre; or
Any English Language Test which is equivalent to B2 in Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
