Programme overview
This programme is designed for those who want to become a qualified social worker. If you already hold a bachelors degree with study in a relevant discipline such as social science, sociology, psychology, health science or human services then this programme can offer you a two-year pathway into the profession.
You will gain essential knowledge and understanding of the values, theories and interventions that underpin social work practice. The programme will teach the skills to be a critical and reflective practitioner who is able to contribute to any field of social work practice.
Programme structure
The two-year programme includes lectures, discussion, student presentations, skills laboratories, group work, individual research and investigation, practicum placements and self-directed study.
The strong practical focus to this programme will enable you to participate in 120 days of supervised practicum work in the community.
