Illinois Tech’s Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence is the only undergraduate AI program in the Midwest.
From its foundation, the field of artificial intelligence has been an interdisciplinary endeavor, requiring deep knowledge of both computational and human sciences. Begin with introductory courses in programming, computer science, mathematics, and statistics that provide a firm technical foundation. From there, learn core AI concepts and techniques including state-space search, game-playing, machine learning, neural networks, planning, computer vision, and language understanding. The program includes a variety of advanced AI electives, enabling technical mastery in specific subfields.

Students engaged in a college preparatory or general education curriculum generally make good candidates for Illinois Tech. Specifically, we recommend the following high school courses be completed: Four years of English, Four years of mathematics, Three years of science.
Students who submit TOEFL and IELTS scores may also be recommended for conditional admission should they not meet the following requirements:
• At least an 80 on the TOEFL and sub scores of 15 or higher
• At least a 6.5 on the IELTS and sub scores of 4.5 or higher
• Students whose applications otherwise do not demonstrate a mastery of English
Application deadline for fall is Mar 01 and spring is Nov 15.
