Our funeral service degree program — with the option to concentration in health and science or business administration — offers the following two routes you can take:
Traditional 3-1 Bachelor of Science degree program, in cooperation with the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science (PIMS), requiring three years of study at Point Park University and one year at PIMS.
Bachelor of Science capstone program requiring 36 credits to be completed at Point Park. This is offered for students who have completed a 20-month (five trimester) Associate in Specialized Business degree.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
Upon successful completion of this program, a student will be able to:
1. Demonstrate skills and knowledge of biological sciences germane to the funeral services profession
2. Demonstrate skills and knowledge of psychological sciences germane to the funeral services profession
3. Demonstrate skills and knowledge of business management practices germane to the funeral services profession
4. Synthesize and report experiences in embalming or similar professional activities through oral presentation, written repor and/or other methods of communication.
