Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine (MSU-CVM) is the third college of veterinary medicine in the United States to offer a four-year Bachelor’s degree program in veterinary medical technology. Nationwide there are fewer than 20 four-year veterinary technology programs.

The MSU-CVM Veterinary Medical Technology (VMT) Program will graduate students who will fill positions associated with food animal, equine and small animal practices; public health organizations; federal and state regulatory agencies; animal related industries; laboratory animal medicine; animal and biomedical research; zoo and wildlife practices and shelter practices.

Mission Statement and Goals

The mission of the VMT program is to provide the environment and resources for veterinary technology students to acquire the knowledge, skills and behaviors that will prepare students for a para-professional career as a veterinary technologist and to instill the desire for lifelong learning to enhance their careers.

Applicants must have completion of Secondary school credentials and college credits from non-U.S. institutions.

Untuk mahasiswa internasional

Applicants must have completion of Diploma from secondary school or secondary leaving examination.

English Language Proficiency

  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS): minimum band score of 6.0.
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): minimum 525 for paper-based test, 197 for computer-based test, and 71 for Internet-based test
  • English portion of the ACT: minimum 19.
