This 30 hour program provides graduate study concentrated in areas such as partnership, corporation, and shareholder taxation, the tax problems of employee retirement plans, and tax research. It also is a foundation for entrance into doctoral programs and other professional studies.
Foundation Courses
The graduate programs build on the students' technical competence in undergraduate accounting and business courses. To provide a background for successful study at the graduate level, a series of foundation courses or their equivalents must be completed before enrolling in courses for graduate credit.

Students must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in the U.S. or a 4-year degree equivalent from a recognized institution of higher learning abroad. Minimum GPA Requirements: 2.5 grade point average (GPA) on a 4-point scale for all undergraduate coursework; 3.0 grade point average (GPA) on a 4-point scale for all graduate coursework.
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): Internet-based test score of 79 total or Computer-based test score of 550; The International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Overall band score of 6.5; PTE (Pearson Tests of English) Academic score of 58; IELP Intensive English Language Program: Satisfactory completion of the Intensive English Language Program at UNO; Minimum Scores on IELP Test: Listening Comprehension: 70; Grammar/Reading/Vocabulary: 63; Writing/Composition: 75.
Application Deadline are Spring Admission: November 15; Summer Admission: May 1; Fall Admission: July 1.
