The Alice Stephenson studentship is funded by the Newcastle University Centre for Cancer for 4 years. The award covers University fees at the home rate and a stipend consistent with UKRI rates (£17668 for 2023-24). International students may apply but must fund the difference between the home rate and the overseas rate.
Award Duration
4 years
Candidates must have a BSc in an appropriate chemistry/chemical biology/biochemistry discipline at first or 2:1 level, or a Masters degree in a relevant subject (e.g. medicinal chemistry / chemical biology / biochemistry).
Applicants whose first language is not English require an IELTS score of 6.5, with a minimum of 5.5 in each subsection.

a ‘Personal Statement’ (this is a mandatory field) - upload a document or write a statement directly in to the application form
the studentship code SNES252 in the ‘Studentship/Partnership Reference’ field
when prompted for how you are providing your research proposal - select ‘Write Proposal’. You should then type in the title of the research project from this advert. You do not need to upload a research proposal.
