This unit serves as a bridge between coursework and the final honours year by equipping you with the skills and experience needed to undertake independent research with confidence and purpose. You'll identify a research question or societal issue relevant to your field of study. Projects may be traditional academic research or applied investigations that address local or global challenges, such as sustainability, social equity, digital futures, or ethical business practices.Management knowledge and skills such as problem-solving and decision-marking are valued and needed in small-to-medium enterprises, non-profit organisations, large corporations and government – both locally and globally. Management is about taking a leading role: supervising and mentoring staff, balancing budgets, and ensuring tasks and projects are completed successfully, together with recognising issues such as values, ethics and sustainability.
