The Bachelor of Laws enables students to complete the academic prerequisites to become a lawyer in just three years, while developing the intellectual, critical, and practical skills essential for the professional practice of law.In addition to core units that meet professional accreditation requirements, the course features distinctive core subjects such as the philosophy of law and environmental law, reflecting the program’s emphasis on justice and critical inquiry.Students can tailor their studies with a wide range of elective units, covering topics such as human rights, race and the law, animal law, climate law and policy, psychology and the law, and ecological jurisprudence. An elective in mediation also meets national standards, providing a pathway toward becoming a nationally accredited mediator.Opportunities to deepen learning are available through intensive Summer or Winter School electives, as well as practical experiences such as work placements and participation in law mooting competitions.
