The TESOL specialisation of the Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies explores a range of issues relating to language teaching and learning, applied linguistics and sociocultural contexts of education. It also develops themes relating to the practical issued of language teaching and learning in a second foreign language context, and investigates the theoretical basis of these issues in the light of recent research developments.The Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies has been designed to further the careers of teaching professionals, educational administrators, researchers and policymakers within specific areas of education practice. a pre-registration nursing degree from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification; or

an embedded graduate certificate in this discipline from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification; or

a minimum of five years experience as a registered nurse in Australia or overseas.
