Bachelor of Science in Planning (Honors)

Planning is the study of land use, resources, facilities, and services, as well as the physical, economic, and social well-being of communities. Planners help decide what gets built and where, from roads and transit to parks and housing developments. The BSc program takes a scientific approach to planning, with a focus on elements such as environmental management and the use of geographic information sciences. The Bachelor of Science with Honors is a degree program designed for students to reach in-depth training in a specific subject area and are drawn to scientific research. A research thesis project is embedded in each program and students must maintain higher academic standards than those in a BSc Major degree. Students have the option to add a minor from the Faculty of Arts, Native Studies, Business or Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences, however doing so will reduce the amount of option courses.
